No âmbito do projeto SHIFT Coimbra, a Universidade Politécnica de Coimbra promoveu ontem, na Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra (ESEC), uma sessão participativa dedicada ao turismo sustentável e à qualificação de profissionais.

Com a presença de representantes de empreendimentos turísticos e alojamentos locais, o encontro teve como foco debater desafios de recrutamento, retenção de talento e necessidades de competências.

Estes contributos são fundamentais para dinamizar o Observatório de Empregabilidade para o Setor do Turismo (LOT) e reforçar o trabalho em rede entre as empresas e o território. Ouvir quem está no terreno é o primeiro passo para capacitar as pessoas e valorizar o nosso destino!

Under the SHIFT Coimbra project, the Polytechnic University of Coimbra hosted a participatory session yesterday at the Coimbra Education School (ESEC), dedicated to sustainable tourism and professional qualification.

Bringing together representatives from tourism businesses and local accommodation providers, the meeting focused on discussing recruitment challenges, talent retention, and skills needs.

These contributions are key to boosting the Labour Observatory for Tourism (LOT) and strengthening networking between local businesses and the territory. Listening to those on the ground is the first step toward empowering people and enhancing our destination!
