Information for Incoming Students

1 - Information about undergraduate programmes (1st cycle degrees)

2 - Before applying for admission as an Erasmus student:

·         Please ensure that your university has an Erasmus bilateral agreement with Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (P Coimbra 02) for your area of studies;

·         Please ensure that you have been nominated by your home institution to participate in the exchange. The nominations should be sent by your International Office to the email gri@esec.pt

3 - How to apply?  

a.     Fill in the Students’s Application Form

b.    Fill in the Learning Agreement

c.     Send the documents duly signed and stamped to gri@esec.pt and the original by regular post to:

Deadlines

·         15 July: for admission in the first semester and whole academic year;

·         30 December: for admission in the second semester.

4 - Language requeriments

College of Education does not require any formal language certification. However, students coming to College of Education must ensure they have the sufficient level of portuguease or english language. All the classes are in portuguease language.

5 - Portuguease Language Course (A1 - Beginners)

 Portuguease Language Course will be offered for the academic year 2013/2014. More information will be available soon.

6 - Acceptance  

·         College of Education International Relations Office analyses the applications and communicates the students’ acceptance by email.

·         Students needed an Acceptance Letter should ask it to International Office (gri@esec.pt) after receiving the acceptance confirmation by email.

7 - Academic calendar 2013-2014

8 – During your stay

a.     You should introduce yourself in International Relations Office upon arrival

b.    Fill in the documents for registration

c.     Fill in the Learning Agreement or changes  

9 – Before departure

a.     Inform the International Relations Office about your departure date

b.    Pick the Certification of Stay up in International Relations Office

c.     Pick the Transcript of records up in International Relations Office
